Handler Experience

Looking to get even more hands‑on with lambing at Elms Farm?

Our Handler Experience offers a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and work alongside Oscar, Katie, and the rest of the team as they care for our flock during one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year.

This immersive experience allows you to take part in the essential daily tasks involved in lambing season. You’ll join the team for their morning and evening checks, which may include:

  • Bottle feeding and caring for young lambs
  • Checking on ewes to ensure they are healthy and comfortable
  • Completing the feeding and watering rounds
  • Refreshing bedding and maintaining clean, safe pens
  • Assisting with the care of newborn lambs
  • Numbering and recording new arrivals
  • Learning about flock management and the realities of farm life during lambing

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who would like a deeper understanding of animal care, farming, and the lambing process. Whether you're an aspiring young farmer or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, this experience offers a memorable and educational experience on the farm.

Minimum age: 8 years old

To keep things running smoothly, we ask that all visitors, including adults, have their own ticket.
